Cleanaway engaged Biogas Systems to investigate possible causes of lower-than-expected landfill gas (LFG) extraction performance, and the potential rectification tasks for the gas collection system (GCS) at Erskine Park Landfill.
The works were staged. Firstly, reviews of data and associated information occurred, followed by review of design documentation and previously conducted NEGRs assessments. Following these reviews, an on-site inspection was carried out to identify potentially damaged wells, flowlines and lateral lines. Subtle short duration changes to LFG field balancing settings were also implemented. Collation of findings were summarised and suggested rectification works were presented.
