Project Description
The Hyland Highway Landfill required a landfill gas (LFG) flare system to meet regulatory compliance, as well to generate carbon credits and provide electricity via a biogas generator. Ennovo were engaged for the supply and installation of a 750 m³/hr high temperature (HT) flare system with a modulating valve to provide LFG to the engine, flare and both in combination.
Integration of the flare system with the biogas engine was a critical component of the works, with a bespoke SCADA system being developed. Communication between the two systems has been optimised and is able to controlled via a cloud-based telemetry system.
Ennovo was awarded a three-year performance-based monitoring and maintenance contract for the Gas Collection System (GCS) and the flare system. This utilises our Field Data Management System (FDMS) and cloud-based Data Dashboard.
The disciplines covered included the following:
- GCS monitoring and maintenance
- HT flare design and supply
- Ongoing flare and GCS monitoring, servicing, and maintenance
- Data management and ERF reporting
